My first 4 yrs were on the East Coast, then I moved to Boulder and was strictly a West Coast, Midwest guy.

Of those 2 I definitely preferred the Garden, but there was nothing like the Greek in Spring or Summer or Oakland Aud Arena (later renamed Kaiser) for New Years.

I always liked the atmosphere at western shows better, a lot more laid back and not as anxious, and smaller venues.. and all those outdoor shows, just great.

PG, I concur (and would also throw in the Frost for outdoor spring/summer shows)

There were so many nice and quirky places to see them. I loved OKC Zoo Amph, Red Rocks, The Alladin in Vegas McArthur Ct in Eugene, and so many others.

BD & PG , it's just not fair . Greek . Frost . RR . Lucky to see the last Kaiser shows in '89 . What's an East Coast boy gonna do > go to MSG , if I must make a choice . Sorry , but Philly has never been my city

The MSG Shows were almost always better in general but I did enjoy camping in the park in Philly so it's kinda apples and oranges for me on this.
